Cokethia Rachel is an Atlanta, Georgia native with over 16 years of experience in Health Information Management. She holds a B.S Degree in Business Administration and Health Information Management. She is a certified “Six Sigma Black Belt Professional” (SSBBP) awarded through Management and Strategy Institute. Cokethia also holds several credentials in the coding and auditing healthcare sectors. She has a CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), and CPMA (Certified Professional Medical Auditor). Cokethia has extensive experience and knowledge with managing the daily coding operations, onboarding and off-boarding of staff, and assisting in center-wide reimbursement and quality improvement initiatives by educating and advising clinicians and providers regarding documentation, coding, and billing best practices. In addition to her primary work responsibilities, Cokethia is an active member of AHIMA, GHIMA, and NGHIMA and has served as a member of the GHIMA Mentoring Committee, 2018-2019. Cokethia is also the Coding Roundtable Co-Coordinator. She also serves as President of the Marietta AAPC Chapter, 2019-2020.
